AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Pre-dawn showers and thunderstorms raced across Caldwell, Bastrop, and Fayette Counties with brief heavy rain and lightning. The "highest" rain total measured was .16" at the Fayette Power Plant.Light rain moved north over Hays, Bastrop, Travis, and Williamson Cos. during the noon hour. More areas of light rain are expected this afternoon with only a few hundredths of an inch measured.Scattered areas of rain will affect some of the area Wednesday morning. Decreasing clouds are forecast during the afternoon. A better chance of thunderstorms pops in the Thursday afternoon/night forecast period. SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Pinhead Susan's, an Irish pub at 38-40 North Broadway in Schenectady, has closed. Property owner Joey Faizy said the restaurant closed on Friday. KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An 84-year-old man has surrendered to law enforcement following the shooting of a Kansas City teen. The Clay County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to FOX4 Andrew Lester surrendered himself at the Clay County Detention Center Tuesday afternoon. Lester has been charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action in the shooting of 16-year-old Ralph Yarl.Kansas City police say on April 13, Yarl intended to pick up his younger brothers at a home on N.E. 115th Terrace, but he mistakenly went to a house on N.E. 115th Street. When he arrived at the home and rang the doorbell, Lester shot Yarl.Yarl’s family said the teen was shot twice, once on the top of his left eye and a second time in his upper right arm. Yarl’s mother, Cleo Nagbe, said one of the bullets remained in Ralph’s temple for 12 hours before it could be removed.
